Birds of Goa

Goa is famous for 3 B’s. They are beaches, babes, and booze. However, my first visit to Nature’ Nest Canopy in Goa was for a different reason. This was to explore the beauty of nature which is not so popular amongst people. As we got down from train and started our journey towards Molem, I was surprised and thrilled to see the greenery similar to our western ghats all around. There were birds chirping and vanishing, butterflies competing with our jeep and a nice cool breeze . What more can you ask! The next three days we explored the birds in areas like Bondla Wild Life Sanctuary, Bhagwan Mahavir Wild Life Sanctuary, Tambdi Surla, boat safari in river Zuari and Carambolim/Mania lake. Here is a set of photos of birds that I took during this trip. I will be covering the reptiles and amphibians of Goa in a separate photo feature.
